Josh Goldberg (typescript-eslint maintainer, TypeScript educator) came to Michigan to do a response to a previous talk (which was titled "TypeScript Enums are TERRIBLE").

minimum TypeScript version is 5, eh? Seems strange since there's no reason listed and TypeScript doesn't do semver but power to 'em I guess for pushing people to stay up-to-date. :)

I don't have a question per se but this post was the first time I've heard about your company and I find it to be a really interesting offering and I've told a few people about it. Having done a small amount of portrait phot

why only TypeScript? I realize you can't please everyone at all times but I'd love to have a Rust or Zig SDK option. Go is a good start in that direction I guess..

what happened is they took the recording of him saying "2004" at the 00:47 mark and spliced that audio over the 00:07 mark. strange, but if you listen to the 00:47 and then back to the 00:07 it's quite clear it's the sa

I'd love to hear more about the tool that they're using to transform protobuf for type hinting in the editor. Is that open source somewhere?

This showcase looks at arethetypeswring.github.io, a project that attempts to analyze npm package contents for issues with their TypeScript types, particularly ESM-related module resolution issues.

I may or may not have immediately googled the age of Uwe Rosenberg (he's only 53). Too bad about Klaus. 70 is too young. Hard not to wonder if "short and sudden illness" means COVID, but, of course, his family deserves priv

If anyone is interested in knowing more about module resolution in TypeScript, a friend of mine did a great talk about it [0]. It touches on exactly this topic in the timestamp in the link. [0]: https://youtu.be/MEl2R7mEAP8?

Agreed, but the point I was making here is that Angular itself was very far from stillborn, it pushed early adoption of TypeScript really really hard which did wonders for TypeScript to be taken seriously.
