How's the Strix Halo? I'd really like to get a local inference machine so that I don't have to use quantized versions of local models.

I really like Blender and it's an amazing product, but I can't get over the standard Blender keymap. The "industry compatible" workflow is more sane, but then I have to translate tutorials from the Blender keymap to the

+1. Claude is actually really good at all kinds of development but Claude will still make plenty of mistakes and occasionally go so far in the wrong direction that it still needs someone with experience to steer it.

I tried to use CircleCI and I gotta say, it is absolutely not better than GitHub Actions…

Yeah I agree. If it weren't for gaming I would have already uninstalled Windows permanently. It's really unfortunate because it sticks out as the one product in my house that I truly despise but I can't get rid of, due to gam

I'm permabanned on Reddit for saying stuff that the mods didn't like on /r/games on multiple accounts. That website is beyond gone and it's depressing, because it was my favorite site. But the mod situation is serio

Your original comment implies that "vibe coding", AKA, using LLMs to code, produces suboptimal results. I'm telling you that I've used LLMs extensively to write Unreal Engine games that work well, not just "Tailwind

Why do you assume that LLMs are only coding Tailwind slop...? I've used LLMs extensively in C++ development of Unreal Engine games.

There are so many people en masse who simply cannot accept that the days of coding manually, by hand, could be coming to an end. It's wild.

Really? Because this feels like a pretty significant downgrade from Sonnet 4 on real world tasks.

LLMs are a very specific kind of beast. Using an `rsync --help` or getting any kind of specific documentation into context would have unblocked you.

I can back that claim up. Unfortunately, I've only worked on proprietary codebases and I can't share them. However before I left my previous gig at PermitFlow I was primarily using Claude Code for all of my work. I don't view

I'm actually super excited about this project. Out of curiosity, does the compositor they use have HDR support? It's one of the features I miss on Linux desktops.

Not sure why you're getting downvoted as this is a valid opinion to have. IMO my list is MacOS Sonoma, Windows 7, Gnome 30+. While I like the ideas behind KDE, XFCE and the like, they are terribly ugly by today's standards.

I tried it and I think it's still missing a few important features. - I don't want to constantly auto-accept. The point of auto-accept is that it auto-accepts. Seems like a bug. - It'd be great if I could go back to a specifi

tsx is such an amazing tool. A couple of years ago I discovered it and abandoned ts-node and all of the alternatives. I still use it today and I was a sponsor for many months. Thanks again to the author. It has saved me (and my team) dozens

I think I know what you're talking about because I ran into this too. In defense of Supabase, you can still use transactions in other ways. Transactions through the client are messy and not easily supported by PostgREST. The GitHub iss

This is exactly right. This is what's happened with every vibe coded codebase I've made. As a result, I only selectively use LLMs now with sections of the codebase. Or I'll just relinquish control to the LLM. I think the latt
