Neither Vue's template syntax nor React's JSX look like standard HTML. So I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Knockout is significantly different from Vue. You have to supply values to its `data-bind` properties, and `data-bind` has its own syntax. I'd argue that semantically Vue's template syntax is similar to Angular's, not so much

A large majority of people who use Slack disagree with you. I've never really had a problem with it and I actually enjoy Slack quite a bit.

I don't know if I agree with this. I just don't think it's been done well.

The CTO, Krista Davis, has had staff backend engineer positions. However yes the team looks fairly inexperienced.

It isn't just one bad decision. It's many decisions. Those decisions don't just come out of "thin air" and destroy the company. They're always a series of decisions which eventually topple over the company. Vin

Yeah I've had two companies just blatantly ghost me rather than reject me outright. I already had a bad feeling talking to them, I'm glad they proved me right and didn't waste my time.

Sorry, but I absolutely hate this. Especially considering we're talking about businesses. It's crazy that in this thread the consensus is that you have to manage people and relationships at the expense of being pragmatic and expos

I completely agree with you. I've come to the realization recently that most people are incredibly insecure. It's funny that I find this article posted today given that this is something that I'm struggling with and was menti

I was actually building this exact thing many years ago. In hindsight I probably should have made it into React Table. https://github.com/divmgl/tabled.js

You're getting downvoted but clearly there is something wrong with the way these devs are using lambdas.

There's no denying most C# code makes heavy use of generics, but we've deviated from the actual topic. C# is not Go. Far from it. I'm not advocating for bringing a Dapper-like library to Go. I'm pretty happy with the sol

I feel like closures are a consequence of having functions as first class citizens, so it's not exactly a direct comparison. But I guess I see your point.

Developers think ORMs are evil because they've had horrible experiences with ORMs in general. I'm one of them. The only ORM that I enjoyed using was Dapper, and it's barely an ORM.

I have yet to find one practical application for generics in the apps I've built in Go.

This page is actually really funny and talks about a lot of the quirks I have with the languages I've used extensively in the past (C#, JavaScript, Python, etc.) But when it comes to Go, I absolutely adore its simplicity. I find myself

It doesn't matter if Microsoft is really big on typography if it looks like garbage on Windows. I agree with the OP; most open fonts look absolutely horrible on Windows.

I've been using Go modules for a bit and I really like it. I can easily set up local dependencies using the `replace` keyword as well. For instance, all of the apps in `cmd` which need access to common packages are their own modules, a
