You're assuming discord or twitch actually care. I doubt they actually do. It's there to preempt the regulatory hammer, and the presence of clunky workarounds like this doesn't affect it if it doesn't reach the mainstrea

I'm not sure that's true. What kind of rich brat will go through the trouble of all that for a couple hundred euros a month? Random isn't a bad way of doing it in any case though.

A call requires a human, which is inherently not scalable. And even humans have trouble distinguishing AI content these days.

I'm not necessarily opposed to KYC or even government being able to audit transactions in general. But there is too few legal protections both from the bank and the from the government itself for this to be acceptable in a free society

It is colluding with a third party to increase their power. What devices pass Play Integrity? Yeah, the same ones with all the telemetry and spying that you can't remove. I thought the government is supposed to protect consumer rights,

Virt manager is the least intuitive (discounting actively antiuser crap) program I've ever dealt with. I still don't quite get it and I've used Linux exclusively for more than 5 years.

Needing to run games on the same machine as your server is IMO not the most common use case. It tends to be expensive if power bills are a concern and using a VM as your main machine is tricky IMO. Most games using anticheat won't run

Not quite. Discord is a lot more invasive with their info collection than, let's say Github or Matrix servers. Second, the info posted to Github is accessible without account, which is not true of Discord.

Your bank (like most European ones) requires you to pass attestation to use their services. If you don't accept Google/Apple's terms, you can't access it without extreme difficulty.

It's all the same. How is suing Google any different, if you instead get debanked by Google for violating their "terms"? The only solution is untraceable, permissionless money, like Monero. Why do you think governments try so

I don't disagree but that wasn't the point here. The point is they are handing even more control to a different US entity. Putting my tinfoil hat on, I assume the authoritarians are intending to simply buy the data from the Amer

Perfect enforcement is not required for authoritarians. All they need is to have a threat of punishment, and a questionable process of uploading your ID is more than sufficient for that purpose. Most people will comply in advance.
