It could cost zero with a free host if I’d wanted to and still be as fast. The real performer here is CloudFlare and its edge cache, which doesn’t hit the server most of the time.

FastClick removes the 300/450 ms delay and makes your click trigger right after touchend, InstantClick makes use of this delay (plus the delay between touchstart and touchend) to preload the page.

It should degrade. No mouse/touch: just pjax, without preloading. No JavaScript or no pushState: standard hypertext behavior.

Thanks. Caching can be done server-side, this is not something I plan to implement. The last two seems like things that wouldn’t be needed very often, so they probably won’t make the cut either.
