Isn't it awkward because that's only plagiarism if all of the LLMs around are?

When developing there's tension between multiple things, and the first that's let go is performance because velocity is pushed too hard, particularly by management since their goals are rarely performance (unless the project is tr

I'd rather ignore it since tourist visas are short. The alternative is to add rules to stress some people out, and have others willingly ignore them as it gets you into the idiotic space of having a rule that's not really enforced

Generally restrictions are against working for a local company, since that would be a workaround of getting the right visa for you. I think most tourist entries are ok with working for a company abroad, especially if some jobs might require

I'd guess that the tokenizer is just different and handles this in a "better" way.

Right, there's few roles for everyone, and tbh I've been looking to switch teams since August and not too many really interesting positions were open.

Do the expensive part replacements even get close to the price difference of getting a new car? What if you try to account for insurance and maintenance?

I'm guessing that when buying a car most people can't afford to be picky with the infotainment system and will prioritize buying a better car over infotainment quality. Worst-case scenario these days is not too bad either, you

Well, that's one possibility, and seems boring, but imagine everyone else's filesystem being available to you at almost local throughput (and some extra latency, but hopefully low).

Now, on what new things can be attempted with this? Someone mentioned that this was saturating a single SSD reads, which is interesting. For some applications my SSD does almost only reads, and the writes are mostly to update content. My di

Many comments are around not seeing the point for connections so fast when you'll get throttled or simply won't notice. I think that's kind of the point of this experiment (under GFiber Labs). Exploring the challenges around

I think it has a point until it becomes a benchmark, because as you said it's easy to only have one connection if you want to. Before it becomes a benchmark, I think it kind of leaks a measure of the amount of things that are being don

What's the alternative? Wait for the segmented "market" to improve speeds without any real pressure? In SF I have to chose between one ISP, or no ISP. It's ironic and pathetic.

I don't have a windows machine and I don't plan on having one. I didn't know of `jc`, but it seems that using nushell ( https://github.com/nushell/nushell ) gets you a better experience.

Yes, I think that we can do better than plain text as the source of truth, and thus git would probably need to change. There's work around a bunch of languages that are not based on text, some have their own editor or a tool to manage

It'll be interesting to see the average speed change after this? Traffic jams don't care about speed limits. I'm guessing that the improvements in efficiency (fuel, noise, wear) and safety are probably going to be worth it. A
