Hi, HN! My side project ideas are often inspired by problems I encounter in my day-to-day life. In this case, I was browsing a specific Wikipedia page and saw some interesting-looking references. However, there was not a straightforward way

Just FYI, the alarm functionality is live now. I think that in the future, I'll enable customization so that one can choose what sound (if any) they'd like to use.

Oh no haha, it's not quite production ready yet! :) I still need to add the alarm mechanism (and have actually received a PR for it that I will likely merge when I get back to working on this later today). Thanks so much for trying it

Definitely, thank you for that great suggestion! I think I made the common mistake of assuming that others would understand what that was about because I was the one who built it, but from the outside looking in, it would be difficult to un

Ah, I see! I could see why that would be a more intuitive behavior (as it's more in line with the standard 25 minute Pomodoro). I added a link to the repo, and the README includes information about how to use it, but I will add some hi

Ah, that is a good idea! :) I think that adding a text field wouldn't be that difficult, though I like the idea of it being an optional thing. Tracking it and sending a report might be another matter, but I'm sure I could figure s

Thank you for your feedback! Did you try entering in a time value and then pressing "Start"? Without entering a time, the default behavior is for start and reset to be no-ops. I'll add a link to GitHub and add some usage docs

Yes, that is how it works currently. I should've linked to the GitHub directly, but I will rectify this as soon as possible. Thank you for the feedback!

This is an amazing looking TUI, and I can tell you've put a lot of work and thought into this. Amazing job! You're making me want to install/learn Rust so I can try this out and/or contribute to this (if contributors are

I had so much fun coding up this little Pomodoro application today! I am not a web dev by any means so it took a bit of Googling, but here's what I have so far! :) You can find the code here [0]. [0]: https://github.com/

I'd agree with you about it being more reachable. Slightly related, but after I read your initial comment, I actually found this blog [0] by a guy at CMU who is manufacturing his own ICs at home. I'm definitely not super knowledge

That sounds like it'd be quite the task (and fun!) to implement. I'm wondering how the neighbor-detection aspect of things would be implemented mechanically.

Ah, a rotary cipher! I'm currently taking a cryptography class, but so far we haven't talked much about WWII-era rotary ciphers. When I first read the name "Hagelin", I thought it sounded familiar, but couldn't reca

Very neat, I'd never heard of timed-automata before. I read a bit about it after seeing this comment and can definitely see the appeal in such a project. I'm fascinated by how timed-automata can be used as models for real-time sys
