When you buy into a Crypto you're investing into the technology itself. If you believe that more and more payments will be handled through it, its value will go up, thus making it a good investment. If you take Bitcoin, there's a

Interesting, so it's very implementation specific. Could CPython do something similar? Or is it the Erlang language semantics that allow for this optimization?

I kind of agree here, is Office 365 stuff targeted at devs and software companies? I sure don't care about it when I'm shopping for managed cloud services and infra to run my software.

Ok I see. Follow up question, isn't that the same as Python then? Or at least compiled to .pyc Python code? And, would implementing the Beam bytecode using Graal polyglot layer be a good idea then? Allowing it to leverage JVM JIT ?

When you say AWS? You mean EC2? Cause when I think AWS, I think of using Lambda, Fargate, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, SNS, S3, Kinesis, Redshift, Elastic search, etc. All these managed services arn't just about cost or scale, a lot of it is ab

I think I don't often hear it in the context of C# and Rust maybe, or what I mean is, in the context of a multi-threaded environment, so in combination with a Thread Pool. Say you used the thread pool model. And you receive 100 request

Ya it's crazy how syntax can impact popularity like that. ReasonML is the same compiler, sample semantics, just a different coat of paint and it's already gaining more popularity than OCaml in the same timespan.

Yup, we're in agreement. My point is actually that using higher level abstractions, such as how Clojure does it, leads to safer code, i.e., less prone to bugs and security vulnerabilities. I also personally think it often yield better

Oh sorry, I meant to say iterative, not imperative. Basically all loops in Clojure are implemented in terms of recursion (loop/recur) and not jumps. Which is why there's no break, continue or return statements. Whatever categories

Python's for isn't a for-loop either, it's a for-each loop also sometimes called a for-in loop. In that sense, neither Python nor Clojure have real for-loops. But Python gets much closer, because Clojure's doseq is simil

Not to be too nit-picky, but it doesn't actually have a for-loop. The for you linked to is not a for-loop but a for-each loop (simply called for). Well it is actually more restricting even then a for-each loop, as it maps over elements

Using parsing and abstractions for safety is the basis of why Clojure, even though dynamically typed, is a relatively safe language[1]. The abstractions are safer in Clojure: no for loops, no while loops, only higher level iteration and tra
