Here's what I've tried: 1) Built a website that let people send USPS (real) mail, from the website. 0 sales. 2) During the social news height, built a digg like social news website with a coworker. Never used by anyone outside of

If there are or were aliens, why have we not heard them? Forget visits, why haven't we heard a peep? From anywhere? The universe is 13.77 billion years old. It took planet earth 4.54 billion years to evolve a species capable of emitting sig

On the contrary, I think that if you as an owner of a self driving vehicle put it on the road, you are taking responsibility. BTW, this exact problem currently exists: Audi makes a car that can park itself. Is Audi responsible if it crashes

My opinion on the success of PHP has more to do with how it integrates with Apache... All of the other languages were designed as languages first, then web development was bolted on... HTTP is fundamentally request / response oriented and P

As a C/C++ programmer I find these slides kind of amusing... These languages are popular because they make things simpler, and his suggestions may very well get a nicely jit'd language on par with C, but I suspect you'll then have the same

I hate gnome 3. I had to spend a day installing extensions and tweak tools just to make it usable. Note To UI People: Tablet interfaces DO NOT MAKE SENSE FOR PEOPLE WITHOUT TABLETS.
