No 3rd party is involved. You're localizing the 2nd factor of authentication. Google could burn down tomorrow andb cease to exist, you could still use authenticator. It's a cryptographic verification scheme, not a service. RSA was

They do indeed. I moved all my home infra to docker about 5 years ago and couldn't be happier. It forces my ADD brain to keep things tidy on the home server and now I barely have to do anything unless the server runs out of disk space

I'm starting to think the people who write these articles are terrible at harnessing search engines, so also terrible at getting good answers from an AI. I've had pretty decent luck, it's really good at providing a bit of con

If the redundancy is already in place to not fully rely on cloudflare's product (whatever it is, DNS, R2, etc) the it's not a kneejerk reaction. It's an "I don't want to wake up to all our stuff running only on the

It's $600 because they likely don't keep it in stock anywhere nearby, and they only had a few in existence. For those you're better off going to a junk yard and getting one from the same brand vehicle.

I use the Keepass2Android and it integrates with the OS fingerprint reader, so it's likely the same for faceunlock but I don't use that.

Ideally you'd print it in PETG, and this can be done on a $100 Ender 2 clone with a $20 spool of filament, but if all you want is a few small parts and maybe a few batches for other people, you could find a local 3d printing service on

I'm actually expanding to Fork Guard Guides in the near future and can appreciate the design differences, all of my stuff is blocky and minimalistic for the most part, and cannot be mistaken for OEM, moreso because the metal brackets a

We're not at farmers markets, because our niches are too focused. One guy I follow on YouTube pretty much only sells tool trays for cannabis products and I only sell replacement brake cable guides for 1980's powersport machines. W

KeePassXC with the DB stored in Resilio Sync for me. It's just convenient that way because I've got a home server that everything gets synced with so I don't have to rely on devices being awake at the same time.

I haven't looked at the Volumio interface in years. It's running on a Pi inside an old boombox, and in a VM on the PC in my garage with a USB sound card passed through. I exclusively use it for Spotify Connect like I would a Chrom

Is there an article you can point me to for fixing my geolocation? I route all of my home internet through a VPS so that I can bond (slightly different to load balance) 3 ISPs. I'll randomly have my geolocation show up very wrong. I do

I think my biggest issue with Podman on Mac was the time shift over a few days, no matter which solution I tried. Lima just works.

I only use Lima on the Mac I use at work. But by any limitation by my employer, it's just the easiest thing I've found for running a few containers for my semi-daily workflow.
