you can totally use s3 with pushState sites. They allow you to set custom redirection rules

Good article. On the authentication note thought, oath should only be used if you have partners that need to access the API on user's behalf. If the API is internal it's overkill. I prefer single token methods like jwt.

this is one of the nice things about angular. You can just drop it in to make a component of an existing site use angular. I attempted to get that to work with ember, but I don't think it's possible.

No because ActiveRecord will try and do > uuid comparisons that won't evaluate. Also, if it's not sequential, you may miss records while iterating through a collection.

This company posted on their own blog that they fired 20 people in an 8 person team? Mouth: insert foot.

Good list. Would have been good to specify 'CSS frameworks' in the title though

Interview questions should test the thinking ability of the candidate. You should be looking to see how they solve problems. This is mindless trivia, the answer should be "by googling".

Even though I rarely use headphones, the idea that there are actually companies that don't allow engineers to work with headphones blows my mind. I thought I worked in some pretty strict places, but never anything that extreme.

dataclips have saved me a ton of time handling one-off query requests that I get. Being able to share a sql query via a url and allowing non-technical folks to refresh the query without giving them access to the database is a huge time save
