You miss the point with the RED: it's normal with any camera to use a different lens to achieve certain shots, and nobody calls it fake. They did not say "look how good our phone is" for those shots or suggest they were made

Are they? These are some shots from a presentation video about iPads with one sentence at the end saying it was shot with iPhones. They never said anything about it in the video. If they shot it with RED and a similar lens for those shots a

You're trying to use emotional language to avoid actually thinking about the question. The correct answer is b, and the alternative is just plain banditry. You don't have an automatic right to compensation or audience for your wor

I would not bet against any company on the basis of people whinging on the internet unless it's about their actual product or service being bad at it's job. (e.g. Humane and Rabbit are probably doomed) Consider that when talking a

Finish the thought. How do they profit from someone else's creative work? Is it a) by just taking it because they can? or b) by mutual agreement with the original creator?

There is no "particular group" or "everyone else". Everyone has rights over their own creative work, even if that's mildly inconvenient to others. It's part of the social contract of modern society.

It seems weirdly arbitrary to say that tools people have been using in production aren't "production tools".

Kinda weird to exclude Procreate, Affinity, Final Cut, Logic, etc. from your definition of content creation. The trend has clearly been more professional and creative apps year over year and ever more capable devices to run them on. I mean,

Most people that consider themselves "power users" aren't even power users, either. Like how being into cars doesn't make you a race car driver.

'Cat out of the bag' would be 'we have specific evidence that allows us to prosecute a specific executive for criminal negligence or manslaughter'. That would be why you might kill someone, to save your own skin. Is th

That doesn't make any sense. You're calling someone ignorant for favoring evidence over hearsay and hysteria. That's the exact opposite of witch trials, where the whole concept is finding guilt without evidence.

I'm baffled by this comment. It's exceedingly rare for two middle-aged and otherwise healthy people to die without warning. Suicide is the 7th leading cause of death for men 55-62. It's considerably more common than murder.

In a typical department store the employee would escort you to the register to pay immediately or hold it there until you're ready. There is usually a register in the department. If they do just hand over the merchandise there's a

That's commonly repeated but it's misleading for at least two reasons. Firstly, employee-related shrinkage includes inventory control and accounting errors ("paper shrink") in addition to employee theft. These are often
