It being so high up in the ionosphere makes it difficult to comprehend the size and distance of the ring. Visually, it's hard to gauge its position, both vertically and latitudinally.

Anecdotally, the near dozen or so elevators I've regularly used in Canada (both in residential and commercial settings) have had their Door Close button work as you'd expect: near instantly – no three-or-more second minimum impose

While this could be achieved on the frontend with jQuery + plugins (or even vanilla JS, let's be honest) I think you're not remembering how cumbersome and error-prone building forms / complicated flows was without a dedicated

The removal of subpixel rendering since macOS Mojave is only an issue on lower pixel density screens. On >150dpi (or thereabouts) displays, text is very nice (IMO, I suppose).

I would say that while Tower can't achieve the specific features to the specifications defined in the article (as I understand them), its main advantage is how stable, predictable, and at-home it feels on macOS, which cannot be said of

Thank you. I can't believe I missed this API parameter when I was looking to solve our toll fraud issue a few years ago.

I used to be on the side of relying on native tools/libs, and managing them in a similar way to what you to describe, but it all became too much to handle, with dependencies across projects breaking with regularity. Maybe I wasn't

We primarily use Jitsi Meet for meetings, and it works great for everyone. The lack of nag UI (download the app, etc.) is refreshing. My favourite feature is the ability to paste in a YouTube URL into the "Share a video" function

Same. Switching to powder has done a lot for us in getting dishes cleaner, and we can dial in the amount of powder needed for the particular soil level of a load. The fact that it's cheaper per load, and the box fits more neatly under

Have you… smelled cat food? Not appetizing. It is meat, yes, but does not smell like ground meat, pâté, or hot dog meat, even. I'm not sure if it's because of the way the meat is processed (akin to potted meat), or if it's b

Usually, a server throwing an error would mean that it is aware there was an unexpected state, and is itself consciously not fulfilling the request by returning a 500 error, for example. It remains available to handle the next incoming requ

FWIW, a 500 doesn't imply the server is crashing. More likely just throwing a generic error, e.g. unexpected input –probably because it's expecting some form/data parameters– and failing the request early. It'd more corr

People probably conflate homeopathic vs. naturopathic. They sound similar enough. One of them a good doctor would never prescribe as it is bunk; the other a doctor might recommend as a course of action sometimes, depending on the ailment an
