I have a hard time just picking up and plugging that heavy fatass CCS connector. And then I have to try plugging it in 3 times because it waits for the car and the car waits for it and one gives up before the other succeeds.

Most of the population is struggling because the economy has become predatory. That's my point. If you're not struggling, congratulations.

1. In my career so far, I have paid enough taxes to buy 3 houses in cash but I still can't afford 1 house in cash. The machine says "you can buy a house with debt" which is yet another way to create a way to extract money fro

Currency as a way to trade value and skills is a beautiful invention, and that is to be credited for a lot of modern quality of life. But everything else in the economy (extreme taxation, medical care, housing) has become increasingly preda

We will find higher level things to do as humans. I don't have the skills to raise horses, punch machine code into punch cards, navigate a pirate-style sail ship by looking at stars, hunt for my own food in the wild, or process photogr

I know as an Oracle employee you don't want to hear this, but part of the problem is that you are no longer database-agnostic if you do this. The messaging tech being separate from the database tech means the architects can swap out th

When paper and pen was invented, I'm sure there was a bearded caveman holding a fish who made a comment about how it was someone's problem that they didn't have a tool to carve stone tablets. Paper is on its way out, electron

Nice! What infra do you use for inference? I'm wondering what the cost-effective platforms are for projects like this. GPUs on AWS and Azure are incredibly expensive for personal use.

Yes! I've never had an issue -- in the US at least, signatures on receipts generally don't matter. Cat sketches are usually fine. The only place I've had it mattered is when signing bank documents in Asia.

It's lining up multiple times. When I walk in with a box, I don't know how the hell to mail it, what to fill out, what the pricing vs. delivery ETA grid is so I can decide where I want to position myself on that curve, the differe

What I am suggesting is that whether or not the people are predatory, they created a system that is mathematically predatory. In the pre-Uber world taxis would line up, the fare wouldn't be any different whether or not it is just after
