Those things are terrible. I had a tight connection, was first or second in this movable room, and waited for 25 minutes for it to start moving. Then there was a security screening in the place it moved to, for another dozens of minutes. Te

I guess depends on the company? Google staff is a good principal at msft Edit: in Google principal is above staff too, it's just that msft partner is Google principal, and msft principal is Google staff. lol

Otoh if your browser/os is not compromised, it's safer than authentication code and SMS OTP. And hopefully recovery codes have maximum retry count?

90% after 150k miles sounds amazing. I find it unbelievably amazing.

My experience is the following testimony: "i put the following parameters to the following program and this was the result.". Potentially explainig why the given pareters were chosen.

Has anyone ever factored in battery replacement cost? All of the things you mention (pumps, etc.) Break only after long usage (60-80-100k?) Oil changes and filters are reasonably cheap, i guess $50 every 5-10k miles? I would really want to

0rtt handshake (or 1rtt for new connections) and stream multiplexing (no head of line blocking) come to my mind. Oh, and connection migration (wifi to cell), but that's a bit more tricky.

Maybe it would have been even better in windows? :-) I remember playing with governor's, disabling hardware, supporting Nvidia Optimus and other stuff in Linux in order to get decent battery life (actually, i got decent out of the box.

Clickbait. They're reducing the (risky) leverage. "A Schwab spokeswoman said that the platform changed its margin requirements, limiting how much an investor can borrow, on Jan. 13 and said it has placed “restrictions in place on

Can you recommend any? Company policy mostly forbids installing third party software, but if there is one that's trustworthy, I can probably install it.

I hardly have any 3rd party software. Chrome and iTerm is all I am running. I have installed xcode and Android studio, but both were unbearably slow, so now I'm remoting to my main computer. I have plenty of extensions in chrome though

That breaks your bandwidth estimation though? So you're more likely to fill up your sending buffers and then suddenly stall anyway

But this is happening with enpXsY! (Are you saying this was only happening with eth*?) Whenever I remove a card from my first pci slot, the other two cards get renamed... Frustrates me a lot.

Software-wise/productivity-wise apple is pretty bad though. Snapping windows to sides(and to quarter of the screen), splitting windows across multiple monitors are two biggest offenders imo. Microsoft dealt with them perfectly. Also, u

As someone who just switched motherboard + cpu on my home server, the worst thing was to figure out the names of the network interfaces. EnpXs0 feels worse than good old ethX with interface naming based on mac addresses.

Now we are just guessing. This is a press release, which does not contain enough technical info. So one can't say how groundbreaking this is. It's like with those news "the new battery type has been discovered", with ver

Private businesses must give a privacy notice with a way to opt out from information sharing. Is this not a requirement for a DMV? Edit: I have seen this in banks and credit card issuers. Maybe it's just banking requirement?

The long-term viable approach is to not make forward-backward incompatible migrations in short period of time. If your system is truly distributed (multiple machines hosting it), then if one server performs migration that deletes the table,
