I mean if you think about other professions that use Macbook Pro they don't need it either. Are video professionals using it to scrub through video? Nope. For any audio professional it's useless. No one who is serious about th

For the same price you can get a nice DSLR and the iPhone SE 2. That's what I did. Heck even my Nikon D70 from 2008(bought it used in 2011) can still run circles around even the most expensive phones for pictures. Best camera is the

I recently switched to more hardware based setup, because I just lost creativity on the computer and needed a switch up. I still use a DAW to record audio/midi from hardware to mix and master. But other than that all recording happen

Unlike software developers, doctors, in my experience(friends and docs I have gone to), don't seem to have the same open mind about things in their field. At least the one's I know. It might seem foreign to us because a lot of o

This is just crazy React devs have to think about this. No other framework makes you do this. Vue, Angular, Ember. The computer should be doing this for us. It knows the properties we define, where we access them. Let the computer do w

Tables, Charts and Dashboards sounds like a lot of displaying of data. Not updating state. Or when you are updating state (like date picker), you're updating the world. Just an assumption, sorry if I'm wrong. Web is usually fi

Yes, for sure you can get good performance out of the box. It just takes a lot more time than other frameworks. In my experience it's a constant moving state up and down. Spending an insane amount of time to put state in the correct

The whole React story is very interesting. Authors are extremely adamant about everything being pure, but React still doesn't solve an underlying issue that every frontend framework since the beginning of time solved. Which is automa

All I can think about with these models in general is the book: Jurassic Park. A lot of talk about chaos theory in the book(kind of skimmed over in the movie). I don't know how accurate all of it is, but it seems trying to model how

I don't quite understand this. Since 2013 React has remained a JS framework and introduced 1 new concept(hooks). iOS programming on the other hand(since 2013) has introduced a new language(Swift) and a new paradigm (Swift UI) for wri

It's easy to shoot yourself in the foot with any technology. People switch to a technology thinking they're writing better code with it, but in reality they're just a better at coding. Or it's a rewrite of something, i

I'm all for frameworks, because jQuery can eventually get out of hand. I just see a lack of knowledge on how to structure basic DOM code, so that's going to transfer into other frameworks. I'm more of a fan of someone going

They're using jQuery wrong and now reaching for a framework. If you write bad code in jQuery you're going to write bad code in a framework. I've seen it a dozen times. Use event delegation and behaviors, not "if windo

Sublime is still the fastest(opens instantly), and personally it looks better than VSCode with the new adaptive themes. Font rendering on MacOS is native in Sublime instead of the fake blurry stuff you get with Electron.
