Concert Window is bringing on a CTO in New York, NY. We are creating a way for people to watch live concerts online. We've already built an exclusive network of nine top venues around the country and developed proprietary tech for producing

A key differentiator here vs. Dropbox that I think people are overlooking is the fact that you can actually edit your files and collaborate easily. The transition to cloud-based apps is underway, and Dropbox -- in this respect -- is about t

I've been trying out the Art.sy beta, and although the Art Project seems to have more functionality, I like the navigation experience on Art.sy better. Art.sy is simpler and more artwork-focused, which leads to more random browsing. That sa

So, what if once you upload the "missed connection" photo, Facebook tags it with GPS and filters possible matches against your current location? That would narrow it down quite a bit. I assume they have enough GPS data from other users' pho

One word: Karma. Grooveshark has said repeatedly that they're trying to help artists, but when you look at their business model (upload a bunch of songs illegally, get eyeballs, then charge labels for data), it's been clear all along that t

I have never seen a company more in need of competition. I realize its massive installed base makes it tough to approach, but isn't there somebody who can compete credibly? I have to think that there's enough user dissatisfaction that peopl

Something about Hunch's trajectory is utterly predictable and ever-so-slightly depressing. I suppose building to sell is a perfectly valid business model -- if you succeed -- but it makes me feel a little dirty. And if nobody buys you, you'

For me, the most basic barrier to children's e-books is that tablet screens aren't big enough yet. There's nothing like a 12" by 12" picture book to really pull you into the world of the illustrations. An iPad-sized screen just doesn't cut

My main problem with the stylus is that it's so easy to lose; who wants to carry around a separate part with their device? That said, imagine if styluses (styli?) were mass produced and available as ubiquitously and cheaply as pencils. Lose

I suppose for a musician, taking the leap of faith from cash-in-hand to maybe-cash-down-the-road is a big one. Even if ultimately it might pay off. It's a pretty fundamental transition between business models. Edit: Also forgot to mention a

sorry, the $1 per stream is referring to Concert Window's royalty to artists (the artists get $1 per webcast ticket sold). Then as for Spotify, which is separate, I had originally thought that Spotify paid 1 cent to the artist/record label
