I used to use a bank with a similar bug. It would send you a new password (in plain text) but any special characters would be shown in unicode. So even though the password might be: sdi*74s) It would be in the email as: sdi\u002A

Consider the fact that misframer hosting the image on imgur and posting it made me very happy. The best way to read a document or look at an image is to let people see the document/image without ~160px worth of horizontal space taken up by

I'm not saying I can't do this. Or that you can't. I certainly do everything on my own when I'm starting something new as I'm sure many builders do. My point is that I don't think it's a sustainable assignment. When the sys admin job become

Do you mean safe as in from corruption/deletion? Or safe from prying eyes? If I had something digital that I really couldn't afford to lose, the first place I would turn is to Google. Same goes for security. They may have their AI bots peru

Use an interpreted language like python, ruby, perl, et al and run it in the interpreter. I write lots of stuff this way before I build interfaces. My first python program was a tic-tac-toe game. I created a game board using dashes and pipe

So you want an equally bad way of hiring managers as fizzbuzz is for hiring engineers? Odd request...

I don't think you can find a very good 2 in 1 guy for this. These two people are very different types. One is happy chugging along just keeping the lights on and probably is only interested in doing that. The other is going to be more of a

How is this supposed to work? Most projects are going to require a specific demographic to show up and vote. For example if I am creating a tool to help dentists keep better records of their patients, how will you find dentists to vote on m

Right? I'm not sure what the allure of desktop email clients is. I could understand maybe if you found yourself offline a lot but what could you really accomplish without internet anyway? No new mail is coming in. You could compose messages

I considered doing this myself but didn't for a few reasons. I have tutored math (college level) for sometime now and it has proven to be quite lucrative at times. I don't do it much anymore but in college and my early-career time frame (wh

Semantic is really just a buzz word. People say their projects are "semantic" all the time. The word is becoming meaningless. I can see how it's a wiki... It's a database people can edit. Not sure how it's semantic.

Cool product tour. Is it custom built or did you use some kind of 'tour library'? Hope that's not a dumb question. I could swear I've heard of such a thing being developed before. First issue is that clicking inside the tour pop-ups causes

If my current company discussed my salary with anyone outside of my company or myself, there would be much larger problems. No reasonable company would be dumb enough to disclose personal information about one of their employees.

Are you referring to normal garbage collection or recycling centers? In my area, garbage collection is done by a pretty large company. They have a decent online presence which allows me to pay my bill there etc. I'm always on the lookout fo

Your page looks great. Did you design this yourself or hire it out? That said, unless it's a term widely understood by your audience and I'm just not part of that audience, you should ditch the word "mail merge". It may be hard to do, but I

Yea. I suspect power users won't exist with this app. School reviews just won't work like a product review site or something. You may buy and review several things a year. But you'll only ever go to 1-3 schools and only a few of them will e

I can't imagine a video is necessary to explain this concept. It's a review website. Just make that clear and take away all the extra stuff.

What is it you want to do? Just learn or do something with it? You won't learn something like that by reading. You have to actually use a terminal to accomplish things. Often. Start using linux and develop something. You'll use about 3 term

I'm really confused about why someone would sign up. Why would 'signing up' be required to create a review of a school? Just accept reviews from people so you can start filling the site with content.
