I happen to know a lot of wealthy people who aren’t considered elite, nor have a lick of influence on the state of current affairs. I don’t think Russians or North Koreans could say the same with a straight face.

I, as a male, have a 4.5k medical bill from a breast cancer biopsy center. I had surgery on December 8th. They billed me for the biopsy on January 3rd, and of course UHC isn’t covering it. Turns out joke is on them, I’m not paying it.

I wonder how Russian and North Korean citizens would feel about a capitalist, representative democracy?

Gambling and alcohol destroy lives, every day. You can get a 6-pack of beer and a lotto ticket at the corner store down the street. How did alcohol probation go? Why would gambling be different?

In my limited experience on this rock, the best writers are phenomenal readers, and the best speakers are very attentive listeners.

I opened the link and just started reading. I have a really dumb question that may expose common knowledge I don’t have, about this quote: > The total amount of space needed to represent this collection of strings is O(k n^2). I haven’t

How so? RAM is almost free if you’re not on embedded, and embedded could run Java sure, but it isn’t common.

I think the key word there is “known” which I appreciate you saying. We still don’t know who created Bitcoin, what are the odds there are more… effective? groups than NSO operating in the US? I’d say greater than zero.

If you live in a city, yeah maybe. I have 3 removed cats in the toolbox of my truck, which I don’t lock, and neither they nor the truck have been touched. I even loaned the truck out to a rando on Facebook marketplace when I gave a fridge a

I am quite familiar with yocto, I did not realize that it was the toolchain used. Thank you for the information. I should write a blog about yocto sometime, I have many thoughts.

Amusingly, saying: "...very hard to find masala for your curries or good tofu" is a thing someone says when they're not in touch and live in a bubble.

I think a lot of people go their whole lives without ever cooking or eating tofu or masala.

I was home taught until 9th grade. People don’t believe me when I tell them. I’m “way too well-adjusted” to have been raised that way. Conflict isn’t an issue for me at all, and consensus-building is probably one of my strengths. I said all

Yes, all people are different, and some are smarter than others. Education funding won’t change that. Way to disparage a random person on the internet.
