Health insurance for my family of 5 is about 7 grand a year, and food is about 6 grand, and utilities are about 3 grand (Internet/water/electric/gas). That's 15 grand before transportation, rent, or any luxuries. I frankly have no idea how

Regarding point 2, I pulled together a boilerplate that my group uses as a template for new apps, and I'm working on creating a file gen in python. We make heavy use of AMD, and rely on a handful of legacy non-RESTful backend apps we need t

This was a great overview, thanks. One off-topic thing though: I'm browsing on my kindle fire, and unless I turn off javascript, your site crashes the browser after a few seconds.

Not always, and less so in technical fields, but there is a huge difference between a course like "Leveraging Sharepoint for HR Management" (job training) and "Philosophy of the Mind" (pure education). You can only put the former on a resu

I don't know. I just wanted to add at least one actual source to the conversation... Social norms change, though, and this is actually an excellent example of a huge shift.

I think they teach this game at most business schools, and it seems to be a popular and eye-opening experience. If you hit wikipedia, there are a number of links to online versions you can play (some for free, some not). http://en.wikiped

I was a highschool student in the late 89s, early 90s, and I encountered some truly awful stuff on local bbs scenes. At first, I must be ugly and a social outcast (they referred to me as "the burly Russian wrestler"). I shrugged it off, bec
