Many are preaching erlang/elixir on the OTP/microservice alternative paradigm – that doesn't seem as attractive as the low latency resiliency. At least to me, as a story.

I agree with this a lot. Especially on the web socket front. I've been thinking of an ideal structure for this. I haven't decided between elixir or bet in with Google and Firebase.

I like the takeaway on reasonability. I've heard mantras on "there's too many lines of code here, break it up!" but if it reads well on its own then no worries... Break things up for reasonability. If there's a bunc

In the article it says that it's because of the current deployment of satellites being at 22k miles high. Tesla plans to launch the satellites at a range of 715-823 miles which will reduce the latency to 25-35ms.

That essentially means a universal i/o between all programs ever built but at a high level. All up to user discretion on how they want to wire up all their "programs".

It's less about patterns for swift and more about how you model your data and what your needs are. There is no simple answer.

Agreed - the user_ids and team_ids example was a personal flag for me based on my experience with nosql. In that type of scenario I recommend: - memberships collection and model that under a separate domain. Separation of concerns also seem

Crazy - I never actually took a step back and wondered if we could boost our defense as a strategy. In a geeky way, we keep drinking health potions to recover HP but if we had a shit ton of armor then we wouldn't need the HP potions to
