I thought this was common knowledge. Ballmer said a few years ago that he would be retiring in 2018. To announce that he's quitting, even "within a year", is very out of the ordinary, and it's obvious something went do

Anyone else think they're doing the same now with the "gas attack" in Syria? I don't really claim to understand how a dictator thinks under pressure of civil war, but the guy seemed relatively intelligent and educated. H

That's a good headline. We should start calling what NSA is doing "un-American" too - because it is.

I hope this becomes a bigger trend, but if we're going to do this again , then I hope we do it right this time, and we make it as secure, as uncontrollable by governments, and as anonymous as possible (if you so make that decision on

I disagree. What made US so great and so loved by the world were its values , and being a role model (a good one that is) for every other country. Being just as bad as China or Russia and showing complete distrust in partners and allies,

Most of the main chip makers seem to have agreed to support it [1], but it's taking too much time to bring it to their chips. For example in 2014 I'm not going to care about wide VP8 support anymore. In 2014 I want to already see

I hope this means Google Wallet will be able to do what Google Checkout couldn't - finally take on Paypal. But before it does that, it needs to be ubiquitous on Android devices at least, and used by hundreds of millions of people, glob

I missed this article at the time by Bruce Schneier and I think a lot more did, too, or didn't pay much attention to it, but according to him, Google already gave NSA a backdoor into Gmail, which is what the Chinese hackers used to hac
