I couldn't "Complete" my degree due to the whole UX program being shut down.

People who aren't equipped to deal with it, mainly. People who won't fight back. It's disgusting

Students graded students papers. Racism. Unending trolling on Slack. Peers panicking as they realize the program was not "finished". (ie: We were paying beta testers) Being roped in to the web dev program when I didn't want t

I come from the failed Lambda School UX program. It wasted more than a year of my life. And to add insult to injury, after having succeeded in learning UX on my own + finding employment, I now send them a mortgage payment's worth of $$

The price increases, the shoddy UX, the fact that it’s made itself irreplaceable. Yeah all these things make me dislike Figma. And yet, nothing comes close for easy/fast collab.

I just don't buy the premise. Got it China bad. We're not acting better at home here in the US of A. You may disagree, but at the end of the day, you're walking with the same style of state surveillance in your pocket as any

+1 on this. I thought the UX was fresh. But there tends to be lots of such nitpicks... I wonder if that has anything to do with the cultural stuff behind it.

I learned English playing Starcraft Shareware with a bunch of Canadians. I learned about money, economics, marketing, psychology and social skills via Runescape. I used games as an escape from my hell on earth childhood. And yet, I see this

Yeah, this seems like a great idea. Let's combine gambling with video games kids play..

And despite all that, some people on here are talking about... performance issues? Gross.

What a cesspool. There's so much racism, just in this post's comments... Good riddance!

My point exactly. Btw, I'm one of those invisibly disabled people you mention. "Luckily", I also have massive scarring all over, so I don't have to explain myself to people as much.

by devteambravo 6y ago
So let's just make assumptions then. Disabled people should have a case prepared, and always be ready to argue it in front of people. Upon challenge, by people "inconvenienced" by your accommodations, you should be able to sp

I hope that Google Tilt brush doesn't follow. It's really the main reason I obtained a VR headset...

Survived a 500lbs SVBIED blast. For reference, 500lbs fit on one of those tiny 3-wheeler mini trucks. What we have here is a bit larger. This sucks.

You'd be surprised. Even if you're aware of it, you may start noticing a post you like made be a high-karma person. Confirmation bia sets in, and very soon, your subconscious is engaged. This stuff was build that way by design.

Look into the Nielsen-Norman group (nngroup). Tons of expertise to perform proper user interviews. Keep building on what you learn as opposed to looking for THE way.

What a baffling stand. "Pride" in only serving the customer base with the expensive machines? I truly hope Figma eats your lunch. Say no to gate-keeping.

Not quite illness, but I'm still here, after surviving a 500Lbs SVBIED blast in Afghanistan. ~300 surgeries/10yrs later, I'm sitting here trying to become a product engineer while dealing what could be construed as hurdles: -

In theory, I would agree with the sentiment of not bringing politics to work, but this is 2020. We have Nazis marching in the streets. We have algorithms that don't "work" on brown people because they were built by and for wh
