Copyright is reserved unless explicitly given. That is, what you have said may be perfectly true, and Arrington could still be in the wrong. All they have to have done is to not give him explicit permission.

Macros are better because of performance ? That's premature optimization if I ever saw it. OS-specific configuration / function definition is not going to be the performance bottleneck on pretty much any app I've seen. Maybe if you're writ

You manually count references. It has plenty of the downsides of manual memory management, even if some silly technical distinction puts it into the camp of the vastly superior (in terms of programmer time) solutions offered by higher level

My response was directed at a comment that claimed they said, "we are suing Apple because they sued us". In fact, they said "we're suing Apple to help our customers (etc.)!" which is much different. Your argument is less direct, and it does

Actually, there is also some problem with Asperger's folks and empathy. They don't have a lot of it. This is a fairly well-known characteristic, and there are related things: only talking about things that interest you, that sort of thing.

Some of the Canadian/American computer-scientists I've spoken to say it as "tuh-ple", including Stephen Cook. I count them as mathematicians. Honestly the only person I've known to say toople is, uh, me.

Why does this matter? I get others IPs and send my IP all the time (e.g. IRC). If I was worried about my IP, I would use something like tor when doing everything. But worrying about IPs seems... silly An IP is just so uninformative, unless

Isn't that how patents work? You have to pay up no matter who implements it, as long as it is patented? (copyright, on the other hand, depends on whether your implementation is a derivative work of or copies etc. their implemenation).
