Umm, no one ever asks you about insurance unless you claim to have it? There are no checks for illegal immigrants. Chronically ill patients can still seek treatment, they may or may not be able to afford it though.

For what problem domain? There are very few players in the corporate knowledge management ecosystem, none of which is particularly easy to use, but all of which are pretty powerful at that complex task.

That's mostly white people then? You'll get diversity when there isn't a single majority group. Put all of Europe together (including western and eastern), that would be reasonably diverse.

Time is cheap. Also, most people in the major cities won't have to go very far. People in smaller towns will either bite the bullet and pay for shipping, or pick up books on a trip to a major city.

The snipmate plugin at http://www.vim.org/scripts/script.php?script_id=2540 may be useful for other textmate users. As a non Textmate user (I use vim), I have no idea of how well it would map to their Textmate experience.

It matters when there's a security bug which needs patching in an underlying library. With shared libraries, only one library needs updating. With each package proving it's entire ecosystem, every package on your system needs such updates.

Then do that across a few hundred (or few thousand) systems, making sure nothing breaks, including installed plugins and other applications needing that package.
