Because Matrix/Element is an alternative to Teams? Antitrust is all about competition, so why not talk about the competitors?

Depends if you use the Xserver directly. If you do, there are things like Xwayland which translates the commands to wayland. But at some point you want to implement wayland support directly. If you use a library like qt, that may just be an

You should have a look at Tomorrow Corps custom Toolchain[1]. It opened my eyes about how good things could be. [1] https://tomorrowcorporation.com/posts/how-we-make-games-at-t...

Maybe a bit off topic, but does anyone know about themes or GUIs for LUKS password entry? The command line version has pretty unintuitive behaviour for family members which are used to modern GUIs.

In Germany, Austria and Switzerland all local Book store chains got together to create Tolino, a competitor to kindle. It got the same nice features like apps and sync. And the devices themselves are very good too. But the one thing that s

It is a very weird coincidence that every major film studio started streaming services after that law ended. I thought it was more general like a cut between production and distribution not production and theatres. Now we are in the same po

Everytime I read threads like this I get very concerned. It's like, even here, people don't understand the core problem. Or are intentionally trying to shift the blame away from big tech. Of course the state spies on you. After E

True, some modules are under the GPL only. Here[0] is a very nice website showing an overview. As for alternatives there really is not much to choose from. For small projects which are not reliant on the performance/native designs of Q

Probably the better solution. It is an understatement how hard it is to get out of the commercial licence. If you would find out later that it isn't for you (or the Qt Company raises their prices again, like what happened from v5 to v6
