For comparison: Twilio: $0.02/min to all US and $0.03 to UK landlines or $0.32 to UK mobiles -- yes, 16x the US rate. Voxeo: $0.02/min to all US and UK landlines or between $0.14 and $0.35 for mobiles. Google wouldn't use Twilio or Voxeo fo

Likely because it's significantly more expensive to call a UK mobile than a US one. I believe that they announced free calls until the end of the year. Maybe they'll roll it out in the UK at that point but expect to pay for it.

How do you compete with someone like grasshopper.com ? They seem to have more features, are much cheaper for >500 minutes and I would imagine are just as easy to setup. Although, I haven't used either of you. Then you look at something

The IRS has cracked down on this practice. You can't just call someone a contractor that meets the conditions to be an employee. You can be mindful of these conditions and work around them but just calling an employee a contractor is not go

[Note: I personally prefer round prices but...] There's nothing confusing or deceptive about this practice. The price is right there. Why would someone interpret something clearly advertised as $0.99 instead as costing $0.90? The reason mer

But the context of this discussion is that getting to market with hardware is hard. "[C]ontrol[ing] the design/performance" is only going to make that more difficult, not easier, than going off-the-self.

Right, and even if they get a sweet deal from Microsoft, they are still betting on an unknown with much of their success dependent on Microsoft. In Android, they'd build on a known platform with success or failure in their own hands. Don't

At least for my curiosity, Canada should have an option or be included with the USA option. I suspect many of the "I'm not in the USA and I'm watching the S.B." would be Canada but I'd be interested in the breakdown. I've seen a fair amount
