That was a close one. This is getting harder and harder. It is important not to be naive to the point of thinking this is over.

One of the other comments mentions https://codefloe.com . I haven't tested and haven't yet checked their background, but they seem to allow private repositories.

Yes, SU was fascinating at the time. I kind of like this style of exploring the web; it gets a bit addictive, you spend hours on it but end up finding interesting content and other stuff that you wouldn't otherwise.

But the 10M that care will spend their money elsewhere. That is already something, for OpenAI and also for the other competitors these people will switch to.

I started the same process some time ago. I've made different choices but with the same goal. I'm moving slowly because this kind of migration is never easy, but I fully intend to move >90% of my stuff to European providers (an

I'm a bit torn about this. On one hand, I really think viable alternatives to Android/iOS are now more necessary than ever, and I'm eager to explore this OS. On the other hand, I'm not in the mood to buy new hardware (ri

Ollama, Continue.dev extension for editor/IDE, and Open-WebUI. My hardware is a bit dated, so I only use this setup for some smaller open models. On the laptop, I don't use any local models. Not powerful enough.

I couldn't disagree more. The problems of Google effectively controlling the “open web” take time to become evident but are starting to show. I have no issues with them continuing to participate, but not with the level of control they

The answer is yes, I still use, but not Google nor Bing. Relying exclusively on LLMs sounds a bit dangerous and naive. Until when, I don't know.

For Django projects, I would say DjLint [1]. It doesn't cover all you asked, but makes the job of writing the templates (HTML) much more pleasant. [1] https://djlint.com/

I've worked for many years with both frameworks. I have the opposite view, since I prefer the Django ecosystem and Python. Rails has nice things, but overall, I prefer Django's approach and the language it uses.

Awesome, looking forward to testing it out. I really like that idea of being able to gradually migrate WSGI (Django) apps, or even support running both at the same time.
