Yes, it is a Germanic language. The title is a tongue-in-cheek jibe about how much the English language has borrowed from French and Latin. I believe the majority of English words come from Latin/French although the top 100 most spoken

I find LT great for "learning the language", but I find something like Spanish After Hours on Youtube to be far better for "learning to speak and understand the spoken language". I would recommend that everyone at least
