Yeah but they aren't making this clear and see people misinterpreting this not realizing that it is in temperate forests only. I don't see how any tree roots can be formed when frost line is feet below the surface.

This is still in temperate forests. It still isn't clear to me if this is true where frost lines are feet below the surface. How can the roots grow in frozen soil?

Isn't this like any other US government spending that is for prevention? From healthcare to environment the focus is never on prevention.

Simply switching to no-till in the fall would be a huge improvement. I drove by hundreds and hundreds of miles of just pure black dirt fields that were recently tilled up after harvesting in western MN. Even though I live a ways away from

Yes, if you want to subscribe to the stereotypical unsustainable practice of running a mega farm. There is plenty of opportunities for farming on a small scale and selling your products locally or online.

This isn't just about the feed. I once saw the remains of some cattle that got hit by a train and was dumbfounded by the amount of trash they had eaten. You'd be surprised by what they will eat and if the farm is pretty "tr

Is there a place that sells it in the same type of packaging as regular baling twine?
46.
by destitude 3y ago
I asked if they tried sourcing from someplace in North America and they said they haven't found one.

by destitude 3y ago
Okay.. I called them and it appears the hemp baling twine should work for me. It is raw untreated hemp twine however the country of origin is China. I think I will give this a shot.

Actually I just decided to search for hemp baling twine and actually found something on "tractor tools direct". I'll have to investigate more where the stuff was made and if it is treated at all.

by destitude 3y ago
I'm using plastic baling twine for large round bales. I'd love to use hemp twine but have never found anybody that made it since I last looked. The other "biodegradable" twine available is soaked in some kind of chemic

If you read the article that was probably the smarter thing to do is get the cheapest stuff available because yours likely had a lot less bells and whistles that would be more likely to break.

Look at "light pollution" map of the USA. Look at western North Dakota and the light pollution there is more than the biggest cities in the USA. All of that is from flaring from fracking.
