nice simple approach! And despite the previous commenter I don't see a problem with publishing a neat solution to a fairly cursory attempt to prevent automated submissions. If they care enough they can fix it, but the rather simplistic

Sounds nice. I've been trying to use IFTTT for similar things, but it's fairly limited. If you add feedly I'll sign up! I'm still trying to find a nice easy solution to save the full text of RSS items that I mark as &quo

If you do this, PLEASE make sure that you are aware of current IRS regulations regarding foreign bank accounts. When I moved to Canada a few years ago this all got rather hairy and ensnarled. They keep introducing new requirements as well -

After 15 years in industry (Compaq, Microsoft, a couple smaller shops) I'm now back working on my PhD and enjoying the hell out of it. Totally different experience than if I had gone straight out of undergrad, though.

bedroom in an apartment or house, sure, but I think you'd be hard pressed to find much in the way of one-bedroom apartments at that price around there. Resist the urge to look out along 101, that highway is a parking lot at rush hour.

I had a BigCo manager once who gave me some really good advice, that is to publicly let it be known that you are interviewing at least once a year. Now, in your case I'm not sure I'd let it generally be known how much I was interviewing, bu

The US shouldn't fund anymore "wars on" anything. Bad metaphor, bad approach. But a nice targeted NIH funding campaign on ameliorating age-related diseases sounds a great idea.
