Webpack 5 was that push to fix the monolith. I would guess that after that herculean upgrade effort that the creator of Webpack has a pretty good idea of what’s fixable and what’s an inherent limitation of the existing tool.

That’s really not what’s going on here. All the previous gen bundlers are written in JS and support a giant ecosystem of JS plugins. There’s no incremental way to migrate those projects to Rust. The benefit of these new bundlers is that t

Webpack was flexible and “good enough.” But it turns out rust-based bundlers are 10-100x faster and so the definition of “good enough” has changed, for good reason. It’s hard to overstate how game changing this new wave of zero-config, ult

That’s reasonable, could you suggest a preferred generic term for “abstaining from consuming a category of products for ethical reasons?”

That’s the GitHub which also doesn’t seem to link to a site where this is already running. Is the intention that you need to clone, run and ingest 750gb data just to try this out?

Emphasis on cruise , my trip from Denver to SF took 36 hours but I thoroughly enjoyed it! I’ve done it twice, one in a sleeper and one in a regular car and the regular car wasn’t too bad. The seat is bigger than a first class airline sea

Don’t know much about batteries - what makes these 500mAh battery packs useful/valuable for home projects? 2800mAh NiMH AA batteries are like $1.50 each. Will they not do the job?

That precinct has Times Square as well as multiple train and bus stations (Port Authority, Penn Station and Grand Central). So tons of people passing through daily, many of whom are easy crime targets like tourists.

You are right, I meant downtown Manhattan. There are plenty of neighborhoods above 96th street with disproportionate amounts of crime.

The NYC crime rate varies wildly by neighborhood so I don't think its very useful to compare city-wide crime stats. For example, the felony assault rate is literally 10x higher in parts of the Bronx than on the UES. If you live and w
