I’m really curious what the GPU miners are going to be doing with their cards. Today may be as big a moment for gamers as it is for ETH devs.

There's so much snark here but I love this. I'd take reading papers like this over mommy blogs every day of the week, even if it's to state the ostensibly obvious. Does anyone have any other interesting child-rearing resource

Seems well thought out. It prevents someone from maliciously adding their phone number to, say, your mom in Contacts.

Lindsey Graham committed to, in the testimony, working with Elizabeth Warren to create new rules, similar to Europe’s GDPR. Perhaps watching the testimony would change your mind.

As always, an Ebert review will help you at least set the table for the discussion about it. https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/great-movie-breathless-19...

Don’t worry, I don’t think Americans started thinking that, in movies, all Chinese people should fly after watching Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon.

A good chunk of that goes to actor pay. For instance, in the $200m budgeted Gray Man, Ryan Gosling and Chris Evans took home $20m each. Even net those two salaries, Gray Man was twice the budget of RRR and visually pales in comparison to it

I save everything in Pocket and never read it, ever. It's worth it if only to kill the tab anxiety.

That doesn't work. I set my iPhone to cap sounds at 85db but I guess it doesn't cap the passthrough noise from transparency. In the case of the bug zapper, it actually amplifies it.

I would have this on if it wasn't for the fact that I get calls from delivery drivers, who all have unknown numbers, and for whom the notification must be immediate.

Adaptive Transparency is such a promising feature. I would love if transparency mode could eliminate the sound of noises like air conditioners, road noise, and construction while still being "transparent". It seems that, as of now

Yup. This guy made it his "brand". As with everyone addicted to engagement, they eventually turn into stale repetitive loops meant as song to a certain camp rather than advance any sort of constructive understanding of the space.

Far as much discussion as there is here about how this was a colossal waste of time and resources, I’d be curious how many people here work for a company that’s net profitable. It’s very easy to be moralistic about other peoples money, espe

I don't think that means much. There were 1500 complaints about the original 12" Macbook's butterfly keyboard in the OG thread[1]. That keyboard went on to be recalled. [1] https://discussions.apple.com/thread
