In my experience, just copying an existing profile to a new folder doesn't work -- you're backing up your data, but you're not creating a new profile. So what I typically do is first create a new profile via Firefox' UI,

Nice. I borrowed AOSA Volume 2 from a friend a couple of years back. Too bad the web page performs so poorly on mobile, when two small CSS tweaks would make it fully responsive: 1. Replace `width: 68rem` with `max-width: 68rem` on the body

For the international audience who don't use freedom units, 6.4 (US) gallons is ~24.2 liters.

Yeah, I stopped reading after that. A browser that only "supports up to es2015" is not a "modern browser".

Ever consider a Steam Deck? I'm a frontend dev happily using Linux, btw. I have no use for Adobe Suite, though. Figma is enough, and runs on any OS with a web browser. I agree font rendering is a bit different, but not so much that it&

Like it or not predators hunting prey is part of any natural ecosystem. A necessary part. I don't know what it's like where you are from, but in general I'd say hunters care a lot more about, and do more for, nature in their

If a website allows you to throw away a lot of work by accidentally refreshing the page, it's poorly written. There are multiple ways to deal with this: a warning, a confirmation prompt, storing data in sessionStorage, etc.

Another comment suggested you try to appeal to empathy. It might work, it might not. If it doesn't you can instead appeal to the bottom line. Tell 'em that they might get targeted by an accessibility troll: https://www.

For any aspiring frontend devs that might not know better: they're talking about user agent string parsing. Please don't do this. There's a reason it's an unpopular approach.

While I suppose breakpoints might still have some use cases, I believe an overwhelming amount of the stuff we currently use them for can be better and more fluidly accomplished with container queries. The example you give of a sidebar colla

If light acted instantaneously you would have to calculate the effect of it's rays everywhere all at once, which I think is quite expensive given how vast space is. However, since the speed of light is miniscule compared to the size

I understood it, without even thinking about it. In my opinion it's more elegant than the real syntax, and I didn't even realize it wasn't real JavaScript until this comment thread made me look again.

If your point is that you can run a Webkit-based browser branded as Firefox, you are correct. However, it's not using Gecko, so it's not actually Firefox. It's a browser whose web capabilities are controlled by Apple rath
