With SPF and DKIM you cannot spoof the envelope address and the “From:” header email address. If SPF would actually be required instead of optional (or even ignored), we could be free of 99% of SPAM and phising emails maybe as soon as 2009!

But then what I don’t get is why is it advertised as a separate product. If it’s just a managed App Engine application then it shouldn’t be called “Cloud Datastore” and have a top link on your Cloud products page. However if it’s a standalo

In this example longitude/latitude tuple is a single logical unit, and a perfect example for using arrays, though of course PostgreSQL already has this covered. However this isn’t comparable; it’s a single location, single column, not

Sure you might get away with it, that’s not the point. The point is tags are a type of relational data and there are already better (and proper) ways to manage relational data in a relational database.

That just seems like a limitation of your mapping layer. I don’t know ActiveRecord, but in SQLAlchemy you can map, say a 2DPoint (virtual) column named ‘position,’ to either native PostgreSQL Point type, 2‐element array, or for databases th

Using arrays for relations, like tags, is a bad idea. If you try to do anything more complex (joins) later with them you’ll find yourself creating temporary tables with UNNEST and your performance will plummet. This is especially true sinc

They wouldn’t do that, obviously, even if it was actually feasible. That kind of MITM would be easily detectable (though still effective, in short term)—we know when the Chinese do it. However the private keys have to deployed, on scale. So

I was hoping that eventually App Engine would be implemented on top of GCE, with all the services App Engine now provides available for GCE, and move to container‐based sandbox, like OpenShift/Heroku/Elastic Beanstalk, instead of applicatio

Actually that’s Closure the Javascript compiler. There’s nothing special that has to do with source maps in Closure Library, because it’s regular JS.

You can host the source and eggs on another host, e.g. Google Code or Launchpad instead of PyPi. Setuptools is smart enough to follow the download links there. This won’t solve the delay if you bump the version number though.

That’s not at all strange – the type is variable and can be specified by user. Not to mention you can have more than one home or work number. You sure can serialize your data to your keys , but then that would be rather strange. Anyway
