OK so not actually guns but "government" then. Not as dramatic though. OP is likely the same kind of person who calls taxes "theft" for rhetorical purposes.

The fact that you think this is a "gotcha" is a strong indication that you have no business discussing the topic.

OK so, let's say I completely understand every facet of signing up for and using Mastadon, but still think it's bullshit that few normal users will navigate. Is my opinion valid now?

Can we just stop with these bullshit word games? I'm so tired. Describing a form of legal discrimination (in this case, affirmative action) as "racial discrimination" is not an argument. Or even an invitation to discussion.

I love the Winnie the Pooh quip because it helps me identify those who have no business commenting about China.

Right. Systemic problems require systemic solutions, and "voting with your wallet" is capitalist bullshit. They love to trot that one out, to make real change impossible.

That exists... It's called "Microsoft Office 2021 Professional" and it's on their website. Very expensive. You can find it (much) cheaper elsewhere.

"Grades" are a metric, not a goal. The goal is to educate and train students. If you make a metric into a goal, you have already made the metric worthless and are likely to fail to achieve your first goal.

Folks, this is not difficult to understand unless you're deliberately being obtuse. There's legal and illegal discrimination. Some forms of legal discrimination do amount to discrimination against White people. When we say "D

Any university should be able to hire and fire teaching professors at will if they're not doing a satisfactory job. Clearly this professor wasn't. I don't feel like anyone was cheated.

The fact that you think a "formal international treaty" means anything, tells us that you're not ready. States will do whatever states CAN do. Treaties mean nothing by themselves, especially in this context. (side note: near

A keyboard doesn't claim to be good for millions of actuations. You're referring to (a single) switch, which cost less than a dollar even for the most premium switches. They are easily replaced.

You do know that the oppression and subjugation of women and minorities was often brought by colonizers, right? Singapore's anti-homosexual laws, for example, were promulgated by the British. They didn't always bring enlightenme

Well, yes but no. It's good that Amazon is hiring ex-cons and minorities. It's good that Amazon is not testing for weed. None of those things obviate the need for a union.

Right but it's not though, nearly all of the big-ticket esports games are easily playable on a GTX-1060... You could build an entire esports machine, with monitor (and RGB!) for less than 1000USD. I have done it many times.

Please calm down. No one is attacking you. The point is, MOST people don't have a 3990X at home, because they don't need it, and MOST people won't have a fast charger at home, because they don't need it.
