I would also recommend "The Dawn of Everything" by David Graeber and David Wengrow. It explores "the roots" of inequality. A lot of interesting insights there.

I love the term "hopepunk" mentioned in the article! I feel like lately horrors, thrillers, dystopias and such are on the rise in all media. So it's very nice to see creators who are optimistic about the future, at least abou

I think Apache AGE is much more generic, as it can parse Cypher queries and comes with a bunch of utility functions. OP article is more like a hack, and a good one! It seems like you can achieve a lot of what you might expect from graph dat

I've done almost exactly the kind of thing described in article for a couple millions of rows. It broke down when I needed to find "friends of friends" of depth 6. None of the optimizations I could come up with helped. Neithe

Initially I thought they wanted to get that "old newspaper" feel, but most pictures in the second half of the article are colored. So I'm not sure what's the point then.

I've been on the fence about generalists vs specialists debate for a while now. Although people love to bring up examples of outstanding geniuses like da Vinci, it seems society as a whole moves towards specialists. Natural selection s

I'm with the other commenters on this issue. Stars are good enough as a marker, since you can use other markers (like # of contributors and recent commits) to make your own mind regarding quality of a repo.
