Looking at guile version 2.0 this behaviour is fixed.

Looks to me like an underlying overflow bit isn't being checked properly in some cases.

For me personally, leinigin is why I don't use Maven that much ^_- Also, you would be surprised just how much "Java" programming you can do with a decent XML editor. IDE's are overrated.

Also there is the totally useless capslock key, it could be mapped to meta just fine ^_^ See point 1 on Steve Yeggies's list of things to consider with emacs. https://sites.google.com/site/steveyegge2/effective-emacs

I think the gist of your argument is this: both C languages and s-expression based languages are touring complete and thus isomorphic. For any given C compiler I can write a lisp program that gives the same answers for input. Likewise for a

Well if you want to use common lisp to make a web page, Conrad Barski(who drew the OP comic) has a guide here: http://lisperati.com/quick.html

No, Dependency Injection is a language specific pattern. A pattern useful in Java, but not in Ruby.

Well people managed to port mips binaries (from nintendo 64 games) to x86 in 1999. I remember using UltraHLE: http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/n64/ultrahle.html That was interesting because the typical PC of the time was not exactly s

Fun! Best of luck finding your internship. As for the control, here is what I would do: Imagine a circle on the center of the screen that stopps the spin, outside the circle, rotate with a speed proportional to the distance from the c

If you are working with C# these functions are available in linq: map is Select, filter is Where, and reduce/inject/fold is Aggregate in Microsoft speak. I use those methods all the time when I have to do C# code. I do wonder wh

This stuff never works happily. I don't really trust jQuery to handle JSON/JSONP properly. It is easy enough to drop back down to calling XMLHttpRequest by hand. Sample code is here, and changes to jQuery won't break it: http://stackoverfl

I wouldn't worry so much about the event horizon so much as what is right outside of it. The tidal forces and the x-rays resulting from said forces are pretty much lethally intense. http://chandra.harvard.edu/chronicle/0104/tidal/index.htm

I hear you. Although that roundabout is scary, some of the entry ramps to the A-14 are worse. It feels like you have 3 meters to merge with two lanes full of inexpertly driven lorries.

I have been there once. It was the scariest roundabout I have traversed. The contra rotating flow (inside goes one way, outside goes the other) makes it extra exciting.

The technique is not exactly Microsoft only. Using some sort of SGML to represent graphics seems pretty common. I suspect that XAML is somewhat related to Adobe's MXML. Both seem pretty similar in concept to Mozilla's XUL, or even GLADE XML

NaCL on Android, P\Invoke on C#, and JNI on Java exist for a reason. Sometimes the VM gets in the way, sometimes the library, or bit of hardware you need to use, only has a C or C++ interface library. Learning C++ is still important, becaus
