Absolufuckingloothy. The Apple of today is nowhere near what the Apple of Steve Jobs was. Bugs galore, UX issues galore. Overall it's a mashup of various staff egos over everything.

I would be surprised if any US trash ends up overseas these days. After China hardcore clamped down on imports of trash both "recycling" and "scrap" back around 2017?, every other country basically immediately fell over

It isn't just the business ventures. Mozilla has pissed away funds on feel good activities that have nothing to do with developing a browser. Let's not forget giving their CEO raises and bonuses while holding layoffs the same year

Yea they don't do blindfolds these days. They tend to just have projects in their own independent rooms. No electronics are still a rule. You leave your phone with security at the front desk if you need it more accessible than the park

Why is it even a question of "when they are going to start". Running LLMs costs a stupid amount of money, beyond just the stupid amount of money to train them. They have to recoup that money somewhere.

Yea but the Japanese IC card system has complete interop between all transit systems run by completely different private companies. So you can hop on a train from one city to another and then hop on a bus in that new city on the other side

Yes that is correct. Patents hold it back on Android. Apple just got themselves a licensing deal that apparently lets them just have it on all phones.
