I hate it how phys.org has apparently randomly placed links in the text pointing to the same site, giving no extra explanation about the linked word, just a list of articles vaguely related.

That is just your personal opinion which is completely subjective because of the fact that Java is obviously your primary language. Specify some examples and show us why is it so. Show some effort!

I would be more impressed if detailed pseudo code was published as that would help someone writing in a different language and would guarantee you actually learn the algorithms; now the code might as well be copy/pasted or blindly tran

When i first hard coded MAX_PATH in my program i though the length was reasonable. Now i think 1024 would be better as a really large file name does happen sometimes. Apple has a limit of 1024 apparently( correct me if I'm wrong ) Solu

The statement >>1 hour in a coal mine and you get black lung<< is completely wrong. By staying in a coal mine for 1 hour you increase the chance of death by 1 micromort, that by definition means if you did that for about a milli

Could you post some links explaining your method?

The single pass is the first algorithm mentioned in the article that produces "holes". You have to split the operations to avoid them and thus make more passes.

You have to traverse sqrt(2) times more pixels than in the original method unless you somehow know where the borders of the destination square are ( additional computation ).

It is an obvious typo if you do the math. Angle = 27° result = 1/(cos Angle )^2 = 1.25961 which is rounded to 126%

Yes that is the exact reason you can't fully use the method on humans. You could partially flood the lungs and that would help in some cased but not for diving.

Atom is still an abstraction of sub particles ( that may be made of even lower ones, we don't know ) and their physical interactions so i think it is a model. And a reasonably good one.

To correctly model a cell you would need to simulate every atom and there are about 10^11 to 10^14 (!) of them in a single cell. I think an interesting number would be how many atoms does it take to simulate one atom reasonably well. Then y
