The buying decision originates from the content creator, who will tell you which ones are from him. NFTs sold on other chains are akin to copies of the Mona Lisa: worthless

I think you mean append only. Blockchains are immutable thus not writeable

NFTs are not meant for physical items, they’re digital certificates. People literally burnt a Banksy painting before auctioning its NFT.

> britain was pairing criminals and prostitutes in handcuffs and shipping them to the US to populate the damn place What can I Google to know more about this? I though it was also the case about Australia

Are there any plans to do staking Polkadot/Cardano style? I'd like to stake my ETH but have no interest in running a full validator

Does something like delegated/nominated proof of stake solve this?

I don't think anyone wants to get rid of the legal stuff. Just digitize it in a way where we get rid of outrageous notary fees and other middlemen. Those shouldn't probably be bearer tokens as theft/loss is a big deal

Can you delegate your stake to a validator node without having to use an exchange?

By default, nature is an aggressive and competitive environment. It's only after we barricaded ourselves in towers protected by walls that we started to find predatory animals cute (and even made children's toys in their image)

I'm so sick off those blog posts that take 1 million words to explain monads with so many empty words. Monads are simply endofunctors coupled with coherence conditionned morphisms. Nothing newsworthy, just be a little smarter

All of this doesn't address the concept of naked short selling in the post's title. Naked short selling happens when Bob sells short 100 shares without having borrowed them from anyone beforehand, effectively conjuring new shares

The whole point of his comment is that BTC is better viewed as store of value rather than a medium of exchange

That's true and I don't understand all these people promoting the scarcity argument. There are plenty of very scarce things on Earth that are worth absolutely nothing.

> No, Ken Griffin did not call Janet Yellen and ask her to order Robinhood to shut down speculative buying. Don't be so quick to absolve the elites of all wrongdoing. The NSCC is not a government agency but an industrial consortium
