WASM is cool; I've started implemented a CPU that runs unmodified WASM in Verilog, but I'm finding the feature creep on the instruction set (SIMD, GC) to take away from the initial values behind WASM (simple, small)

Nice article! Do you have a board to experiment on or is this all on QEMU? I've been wanting to try one of the Banana Pi boards, but I think it's going to be _quite_ painful

What was the model? What kind of performance did you get out of it? Could you share a link to your project, if it is public?

Not sure it qualifies, but I've started building an Android app that wraps bergamot[0] (the firefox translation models) to have on-device translation without reliance on google. Bergamot is already used inside firefox, but I wanted tra

The APIs these vendors provide are a joke. A bunch of functionality can only be accessed via scripting interactive CLI commands. Some API endpoints cause short downtime / unexpected behavior (eg: by deleting the routing table and addin

I understand the value of something like this for seasonal businesses / black friday / etc; but for normal companies, how likely is it to _suddenly_ blow up in traffic? If you are lucky enough to have your company go viral and rec

IMO, the dev workflow is significantly worse, integration testing is harder and I don't see the value on "scale to zero", when the alternative is a $5/mo VPS.

In Amsterdam, you usually don't cycle more than ~3km for a "normal destination" (groceries, a generic bar or cafe, stores) and in general, ~7km is the limit for "specific destinations" (going to bar X, ), above that
