"AI just makes it much easier." is glossing over a whole lot there. With the right model some shitty teen can generate an album of hundreds of images depicting your daughter in mere minutes, images that are functionally identical

God speed, OCI is a pile of garbage. Once had them delete every single one of our production servers in the middle of the work day (in the hundreds of instances) due to an uncaught billing error. Triage took over 3 three days and there was

This was a long but worthwhile read. Great insight into both the state of aviation in the early 1980s and the cold war geopolitical climate.

My previous employer has this happen with OCI (Oracle's cloud). Hundreds of servers suddenly deleted do to a internal billing problem on Oracles side. Luckily they were able to restore from backups, but it took a full day and there was

The article states that the settlement money is to be used to treat the water systems they contaminated. So a better analogy would be amputating someone's finger and then paying a large sum of money towards their new prosthetic.

Anyone who's worked at Starbucks can tell you that milk is 90%+ of the commodity being consumed. The back area of every store is just a massive cooler to store milk jugs. The beans themselves are almost a foot note in comparison.
