Wow, the demo in the YouTube video looks impressive. I would like to understand the technique they propose and what's unique in their thinking. Can someone with expertise on this topic explain the abstract in layman's terms? Abstr

Fair enough and thumbs up for actively replying. In my view you could improve my customer experience by reducing the feeling of getting into a sales funnel.

A brilliant contradiction I must say. Starting the article with: 'I made it the easiest thing you could possibly buy, you don’t have to join anything. All the things I hate about going on the Internet and trying to watch stuff – I stri

I enjoyed Europa Universalis as well. It taught me quite some history while being engaged with addictive gameplay. A modern version simulating the last 100 years of politics and war on a worldwide scale would interest me. Especially if you

A bot telling me 'That she is sorry to hear that I'm not feeling well and I might need to take some time off to recover' feels pretty weird to me. I would prefer a more factual dialog.

Thanks for the tip. I can recommend this guide after reading it. It does a nice job of defining the right tone of voice in success messages, account creation, press releases, legal content and failure messages. It starts with the user feeli

That's a nice subtle animation. I also had difficulty steering the boat. It might be an idea to map Q-W to the sail and O-P to the rudder. When you start the sail is on the left and the rudder is on the right.

We feel the pain as well as our platform is unreachable. I'm now using an other DNS server and changed the nameserver in the domain-record. However the DNS propagation is taking some time. What are you doing at the moment as fail-over?

To summarize: end-to-end encryption is making online surveillance harder. However, standards for end-to-end encryption are still fragmented and companies have incentives to not adopt it. Besides that, connected sensors, 'the internet o

I couldn't resist to smile. Back on topic, it would be great if WhatsApp clarifies which data they share with Facebook and how that data is being used.

Paid business services for customer interaction, sound like a plausible business model for WhatsApp. However, I get the feeling this is only part of the story. I assume that data mined by WhatsApp are probably more valuable to Facebook.

To facilitate the discussion, the better question according to the article is: "What pain do you want in your life? What are you willing to struggle for? Because that seems to be a greater determinant of how our lives turn out."

Congratulations to the PHP community with this milestone! I wonder if people who switched to HHVM, will start using PHP again. HHVM has offered much faster performance than previous versions of PHP. The speed of PHP 7 is at par with HHVM.

Nicely written and illustrated, Aran. It clearly shows the startup dilemma of growth by automatically sharing user activity vs. putting privacy first. I'm wondering how this will work out for Venmo in the long run.
