It's not about amplifying someone. There is a difference between ignoring someone and silencing them. Cloudflare's move seems more like silencing than ignoring to me. Maybe I'm too optimistic, but I think everyone should be a

Every time I do this, I wonder how any beginner ever gets their environment set up. Because as soon as something goes wrong (which happens more often than not), I'm drawing on years of experience that the beginner won't have. My f

This might be a dream come true for me. That Visual Studio integration is awesome - I did not know about F# Type Providers but I'm clearly overdue to learn about them.

Put 6 weights in the die, one per face. A mechanism controls each weight individually, moving it from near the face (likely to land down) to near the center (likely to land up). Combine it with something that can detect roll outcomes. This

You might want to think about upping the contrast and/or font weight too. It's nearly unreadable for me and I have pretty good vision. Edit - it looks way better if I disable Open Sans. It might just be a font issue with Chrome or

I don't have MySQL handy, but this query doesn't even look like it should work. It groups by "activities.activity_type_id" but then includes "activity_types.*" in the select list. Unless MySQL is smart enough t

My biggest problem with ORMs is that you have an object graph that may or may not contain proxies. When you hit a proxy, the ORM will either do a lazy-load or throw an exception. Neither of these is a good default. Either way, the type syst

I find this funny: Flow charts are not a programming language, largely because they are two dimensional and pictorial, and there is no convenient way of reading them into the computer. This situation will almost certainly change, since gra
