There are geo stationary orbits that don’t degrade. If you’re orbiting earth or moon they will always be tugging at it Edit: as mentioned above getting it to geo stationary would be costly. It’d also be in a place hard for missions to reach

Not limited to having a daughter. My extended family has a trans son. Luckily they are in California. That’s a difficult thing to navigate in itself without living in a state where the fad is to elect the worst people possible.

This seems vibes based. Twitter censored in the past and continues to censor. If you were in the out group and now are in the in group you’re happy even tho you were unlikely to have been censored

Not trying to get you to try again, but I used to feel that way about meditation until someone pointed out the goal was not to be empty and not have thought. When you have a thought you just observe it and make note of it and go back to you

Modern typescript based web-app … you’re going to want the fastest single core speed cpu & nvme possible to make it not suck.

Beautifully said. The whole pacific west is a scary wonder. Only thing I’d contest is that it’s just as likely to happen today or tomorrow as next year. Best to be prepared.

It’s a big problem is the USA also. It’s been in the news in prime time for about a year. They’ve been really slow to address it

Agree. I’m running a N5105 w 4x2.5g that was $150 on AliExpress. 2x2.5g is the minimum I would do for a homelab

There’s not much. For a bit you could get some people to gift you an emulator for retail mode via a testing link. But that was cracked down on. Xbox is pretty locked down

by deeth_starr_v 3y ago
Just a word of warning about this. You need to reboot into a crippled slow sandbox to do this. You’ll need to boot back into retail mode to play games. Getting a developer account lets you test your app in retail mode

A sly comment I saw elsewhere was this gives them a nice bump they can use when the M4 is released and they go back to 4x4 Edit: my personal feeling is this is just a cost savings they are doing like they did with the base SSDs

Right. That makes the most sense. Let’s Encrypt wasn’t involved … it’d just need to be linode/hetzner

Chatgpt4 is better than 3.5, but I think it’s also because 4 uses larger models because you are paying, while 3.5 has been cut down. I still find that 4 will give bad technical answers … for example, ask it to help you write a Caddy reverse

I don’t believe this will be widely rolled out. 2gb/200mbps down/up has supposedly been offered in my area for a year but I’ve never been able to get it. I switched to ATT fiber when it became available

I found this write up confusing also. At the end when he said, "Apple announced a fanless M1 which would have solved my problems", I was like, Wut? You problem was sharing peripherals between a pc and a laptop, right?

I'm not sure about on Linux, but the GPU passthrough on Macos (Fusion) is not like KVM passthrough. When I looked into it I found out it's for one specific use case. Won't increase performance for general apps like Photoshop.

The point you're missing is that the tax cuts were unfunded and paid for by huge deficits. So that huge overhang will limit how much deficit spending politicians might undertake to offset any downturn. And they may need to raise corp t
