But I don't understand why 14%? It should be the same as you, 20%. Same goes for religious organizations, but it would be extremely hard to enforce, as they might say "government is interfering us practicing our religion", as

One positive thing I heard from Amazon folks is that everyone there is honest that they hate the company and hang there only for moneys. Both ICs, their managers, and managers of their managers. At least no hypocrisy.

I only partially agree with "you can't force people". I think that all people are just like children, but bigger. You can force a kid to not eat to much sugar, even when they want to. Same with education, for example you can

Of course, the reasons they do quizes is to optimize the process (need less tutors/examiners), and to remove bias (any tutor holds biases one way or the other).

Fun story: in childhood I played with father's vinyl and reel-to-reel magnet tapes. They had different recording speeds and typically I could easily guess which is correct by funny singer voice. Until I discovered Jean-Michel Jarre --

1. Are we talking about the same plugs? Europlugs are significantly smaller and fit into both [1]. Grounded is larger but still way smaller than BS1363. 2. No, there's simply no point in having it for devices that don't need it. 3

It is genuinely the worst IMHO: 1. Too large and heavy to carry around. 2. Requires grounding (third pin), even when devices don't need it. Other standards let devices decide. 3. Doesn't allow the cord to go straight out of the pl

Yes, that's exactly what I think: it's hard to measure police effectiveness when it's just a piece of the puzzle.

Ok, let's say it shows that Tampico has way higher number of crime victims. Is their police better or worse than another place with a lower number?

How to measure "lack of crime" if depends mostly on people responsibility than policing? You cannot put a policeman watching everyone and themselves. E.g. I believe Oaxaca must have lower crime rates than Tampico simply because on

Does it? I think it only affects when you enter the value, it doesn't change the underlying data that someone else stored in a doc.

But GP isn't talking about value, they are talking about process of entering the value, so that _their_ editor (Excel) wouldn't convert it to something weird.

The others may have their own preferences to edit documents. It's like you edited one code file in a project, and you want everyone to switch to night IDE theme when they open that particular file.

The most important part of a commissions schedule to be able to change it. I'd say typically companies have 6-month or 1-year cycles, and each cycle company rethinks the compensations (usually numbers through quotas, not procedures).

Interesting, thank you. But I think those points are not correlated that much. For example if I create unnecessary wrappers in a loop, I might double the allocation rate, but I will not halve the live heap size, because I did not have those

Interesting, and I think that is not specific to Go, other mark-and-sweep GCs (Java, C#) should behave the same. Which means that creating short lived objects (like iterators for loops, or some wrappers) is ok.

You are correct, we are indeed at the center of the universe. Hence the farther we observe stuff, the earlier in time it happens. And if an observer moves to a different location, they will still be at the center of the universe (aka light
