When I first moved from India to US, this is the first noticeable difference I found. Huge ass veggies, devoid of taste. I just couldn't believe tomatoes. They looked so pretty yet had literally no tart. So yeah I'm cool with all

Your working theory is spot on. Coasting is almost impossible unless you constantly keep showing that you are valuable to the company. So yeah I did 100 meetings is one easy way of quantifying your presence. What I am really surprised at -

It's funny you put it this way. I actually did a couple of hard level Leetcode problems and I thought they would help me immensely in my day to day life in addition to helping me get better at interviews. No such avail. In fact, unless

Well, transparency works both ways doesn't it? Governments are largely not transparent. If they were, you wouldn't have something like the CIA, Guantanamo bay and the entire surveillance enterprise. I am just quoting the US govern

I think the olden days of photography with the limits on the rolls etc, created some great photographers. You didn't have an infinite supply of film at your disposal so every shot had to be thought through. Action and sports photograph

As a current Apple watch owner I was tempted to get a Garmin, just for the battery life. It is super annoying to remember to charge the Apple watch every 20 hours or so. I wish Apple got around to offering better battery life than adding fe

I tend to agree to this viewpoint. Most of the impactful products are built by people who are inspired to build the product, sometimes even to the extent of hating the entrepreneur. For them work is almost a part of life.I don't mean t

For one poverty. I believe it is in your control to crawl yourself out of poverty, may be not in childhood but in your high school or once you turn 18. Am not saying everyone should become rich but you don't have to be poor. Your mind

Yet, there are many examples of those who made big from rags to riches. Am not talking about movie stars but business tycoons. Carol Bartz, Dhirubai Ambani, Naval Ravikant, Chamath to name a few. Bartz for instance "Bartz was born in W

I have not tried the Django ORM. Most of my backend is REST services so I use FastAPI with SQLAlchemy. SQLAlchemy + pydantic is a bit onerous I feel.

When you are creating MVPs time matters the most. You are anyway going to throw it away and build something better. I was using Mongo and NodeJS a lot but then switched to Python. Now I find the world of ORMs to be onerous. I just want to d

Yeah agreed but the home need not be spotless clean/sterile. Let me take that back, cleanliness with a certain vibe is perfectly fine. Like some homes you walk into, you get this amazingly welcoming and warm vibe, and the home will be

I doubt users will lose the stocks. This will be really weird. Worst case, you will be given some time to transfer your stocks to another brokerage and perhaps RH will make that process a lot faster than the nominal 2-3 days it takes now.
