I believe it's both, but mostly accessibility. Access to internet is seen as limitation on growth for the large companies. Bandwith is certainly factor though when considering AMZN's media empire.

I'm sure it's quite good. I love a good ginger beer for example. However, when I'm in the mood for a good beer, this would be a woefully inadequate substitute.

As another commenter suggested, let's look at the data from the USPTO and see what the submission/approval ratio looks like for large cap, small cap, and independents before jumping to conclusions...

Exactly. Plus, Apple wasn't exactly a market leader when USB became ubiquitous. I'd imagine the camera industry had a much larger impact on usb adoption and associated data rate increases.

The issue with deflation (on a macro level, one sector isn’t relevant here) is that encourages hording money. To counter that, interest rates have to be lowered. Otherwise you have what’s called a liquidity trap. There comes a point where t

There’s a difference between open source and counterfeit chips. If someone wants to make alternate parts with similar specs, that’s fine and a normal art of business. The issue here is chips that look genuine but aren’t.
