I think this is the more likely end state. Instead of builds targeting certain platforms, some amalgamation of windows APIs and perhaps vulcan or other special things sprinkled in will become a sort of standard. From there, Linux compatibil

MicroSDs and even thumb drives are INSANE. I remember how difficult it used to be to move large amounts of data reliably. Superdisks, Zip drives, CD-R/RW, and on and on. Portable storage solutions were an absolute nightmare for ages.

Everyone is building their own ad platforms now. I hear even kroger has one.

Got it. I agree now, having seen many resumes from former Intel roles that match this pattern.

I'm seeing plenty of intel folks move easily into other areas. I don't think this is true. We hired a test automation engineer who worked on the fab side at my last employer. They transitioned pretty well until a PCBA and server i

Atomic clocks are less reliable and require more expensive circuitry. Everyone has wifi and a simple SOC that has everything needed to run the oven, display, and do WIFI at the same time can be found for pennies. Plus, internet connected is

Ehh... Kinda. They used to focus more on cutting orgs/teams. Google was pretty notorious for doing the whole "your teams has been shut down, you have X days to find a new role or you can take this package and leave now."

> Yet GCP is behind Azure and AWS. This isn't because of the sales team. It's because of the flawed leadership strategy that was App Engine. They squandered precious years attempting to build a walled garden for cloud and GCP h

This would be reasonable. Less reasonable to me is suggesting terms like masculine or feminine shouldn't be used as filter options.

The 30 year mortgage became standard. Homes are now a significant portion of retiree's net worth and there are a lot of retirees right now who plan on leveraging their paid off homes for retirement income by downsizing.

I think if it were so well understood, ITER wouldn't be testing over 100 different breeder blanket designs. I've seen breeder blanket design described as one of the biggest challenges with fusion today.

My understanding is that this is proposed, but has not yet been tested. In fact, one of the goals of ITER is to test various breeder blanket designs.

NiMh is better but alkaline still lasts longer. For low drain devices like remotes where shelf life is a bigger concern than power draw, I’ve heard zinc is better still. These are often labeled “heavy duty.”

As another commenter pointed out, plasticizers are not plastics. It's disingenuous to link health issues with plasticizers to microplastics. Additionally, we should not extrapolate concerns with BPA plastics releasing chemicals when pl
